‘Murder at St. Alfanus’ to be featured at HCC

Friday I will be on the beautiful campus of Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College to take part in Senior Day, which is a time for high school seniors from near and far to take an in-depth look at what HCC has to offer.

I will be set up in the Student Union to sell and sign copies of my book — Murder at St. Alfanus. In addition to this, I will be evangelizing all the good things HCC has to offer, especially in terms of its journalism program. After all, I am an alumnus of HCC, and I served as student, weekly newspaper (The Collegian) sports editor my freshman year and the editor-in-chief my sophomore year.

HCC Journalism instructor Alan Montgomery, who is also a close friend of mine, graciously invited me to take part in this event, and I can’t wait.

I love to talk about journalism, and I have a wonderful experience as an HCC Blue Dragon. I was even a homecoming candidate a couple times while I was there!

And, if I get to sell a few books along the way, that’s even better. At the very least, though, I will get to help out one of my alma maters.

If you are free and considering where to attend college next year or even next semester, come on by. Or, if you are interested in getting a signed copy of “Murder at St. Alfanus,” that can be taken care of too.

I hope to see a bunch of people there, and go Blue Dragons!
