WPHS journalism honored with Senate Resolution

This is the audio from this mornings session of the Kansas Senate in Topeka.

The western-Kansas senator, Ralph Ostmeyer, presented a resolution honoring my journalism students at Western Plains High School and myself for the numerous awards and honors they garnered during the Kansas Scholastic Press Association State in Lawrence last May.

I recorded this from a live feed hosted at www.kslegislature.org.

Sen. Ostmeyer’s office told me and the students and I will receive copies of the resolution.

I am beyond stoked about this. It was a great honor, and I am absolutely beaming with pride and joy.

My students work so hard, and it is wonderful to have them recognized in such a way.

On behalf of my class, I want to thank Sen. Ostmeyer for doing this. It means the world to us all.

As soon as I receive copies of the resolution, I will share it with everyone. ?
