Governor Orders Flags Lowered on Thursday, December 15th, in honor of Sgt. David Enzbrenner

Topeka – In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down on Thursday, December 15th, in honor of Police Sgt. David Enzbrenner, who was killed in the line of duty on December 9th, 2011, while serving his community of Atchison.

“On behalf of the state of Kansas, Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, M.D. and I offer our heartfelt condolences to Sgt. Enzbrenner’s family and to the Kansas law enforcement community with which he served.   He paid the ultimate sacrifice for his community.  Sgt. Enzbrenner will remain a hero in the hearts of his community and his state,” said Governor Brownback.

SGT. Enzbrenner joined the Atchison Police Department 24 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Kerri, and his three daughters, Avery, Abbi and Celia
