Special Section Produced, Cover Looks Great

MH Special Section Cover

I recently produced a special section for a local retirement facility, Memorial Home.

This is the 50th year the place has been in business, so on behalf of my newspaper, The Ledger, I built a 16-page, tabloid-sized special section dedicated to them.

The cover (pictured above) was a collaborative effort between me and my page designer.

It looks really cool, doesn’t it?

The special section debuts Oct. 23, 2008, with the weekly edition of The Ledger, which is a broadsheet newspaper.

I’m pretty proud of the final product, so I just wanted to share it with everyone.

Going into the project, I wasn’t super happy about having to do it, but seeing how those around me have been impressed, I’m glad I did it.

And I understand that from a business standpoint special sections generate extra revenue, which I am OK with since I am getting a bonus for my work.
