As I mentioned in a previous post, I am having surgery Wednesday on my shoulder. In preparation, my mother, father and I planned to get a hotel room in Great Bend, the site of my surgery, so we could be in town just in case I get called and am told I can get into the operating room before my scheduled time of 6 p.m.
Presently, I am sitting in a cheap, though decent, hotel room waiting for the appropriate time to go to sleep. I can't eat after midnight, and I can't consume any clear liquids after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. I argue that Vodka is a clear liquid, but I probably won't act upon that argument.
I just wanted to give anyone interested a quick update and thank Jerod Horchem and Travis Schafer for bringing me down here to meet my parents. Following surgery, I will be going home to Canton with my parents to recuperate. I will return to Ransom on Sunday most likely, just in time to head to Topeka to help the Western Plains High School Future Business Leaders Chapter compete in the state contest.
Again, as soon as I can, I will post on how the surgery went.
