It is that time of the week again. It is time to look at my favorite newspaper front page of the week.
As always, I culled through the front pages shown at Newseum.org and picked my favorite.
So here it is:
Bluffton Today
This week, my top pick for this special feature was chosen for a very selfish reason that has little to do with journalism, newspapers or design.
It is Thursday’s front page from Bluffton Today, and if you’ll notice, with that teaser photo covering a portion of the flag, it looks like the paper is named “Bluffton Tod.” Add one more “d” to that, and it would be “Bluffton Todd,” which of course means it would be named after me. How cool would that be?
Well, I assure you I would find it very cool.
Of course, the centerpiece feature photo is pretty damn cute too. It drew me in, but the flag seeming to have my name in it is what sold it for me.
Sorry this post wasn’t as in-depth about journalism and design as some of my other posts, but I just couldn’t resist the idea of my name in a newspapers flag.
Have a great weekend, and check back next Friday. Hopefully I will have a more journalistic take on a front page then.
