2014-15 Student Publications Staff Announced

The upcoming school year will hold several changes for the Sterling High School Student Publications Department. In addition to having The Cub yearbook, the 2014-15 school year will usher in a monthly, student-produced newspaper, which will be called The Cub Reporter.

In order to be on the staff of either The Cub or The Cub Reporter, students had to apply to be a part of Student Publications. That’s because it is Varsity Journalism and isn’t like a regular class. There is a lot of out-of-class time that students must commit to taking part of in order to have a successful publication. The following students have been selected to be on staff:

The Cub Yearbook:

  3. Taryn Gillespie
  4. Veronica Norez
  5. Alex Veliz
  6. Lindsay Gilmore
  7. Kadie Smith
  8. Aniston Ramsey

The Cub Reporter Newspaper:

  1. Kasady Smith
  2. Caleb Hendricks
  3. Taryn Gillespie
  4. Janyssa Phillips
  5. Kylah Comley
  6. Alex Veliz
  7. Lindsay Gilmore
  8. Dallas Lackey

Even though there are two separate staff listings, Student Publications is considered one group that produces two different products. It will still be a team. Almost like you have an offense and defense in football. Both portions of the squad make up the entire team.
