Propane tank runs dry . . . again

It happened again.

For the third time since we’ve lived north of Arnold, Travis, Jerod and I ran out of propane.

We burned through 350 gallons in six weeks. This was attributed to the extremely low temperatures we’ve had lately.

When I woke up this morning, I thought it was kind of chilly in the house, but I didn’t think much of it.

However, once I started my morning shower, I figured things weren’t right. The water never got overly warm.

I toweled off and checked the thermostat. It was set to 70 degrees, but the temperature was reading 55 degrees.

Then I knew.

Basinger Inc. from Utica is coming to put another 350 gallons in our tank today. That will be a nice, large bill. Probably in excess of $600.

Fantastic.

We must be a bunch of idiots in our house. We have done this far too often, especially when you consider the fact Travis and I did the same thing when we were living in Ransom.

Wow.

  1. That reminds me to check our oil. To look on the bright side, your misfortune might have saved us from one frigid shower.
