PHOTOS: Spring Break 2011

First, sorry this has taken so long to post, but my mom fell ill and that is far more important than showing off pictures from my 2011 Spring Break trip to Arizona and back.

But, I did go, and I had an amazing time with my friends Jerod Horchem and Travis Schafer. We flew down to Tucson, Ariz., to stay with Jerod’s sister, Angela Horchem. Then we drove Jerod’s car home, which he had taken down to her for his 2010 Spring Break trip.

I’m not going to do a whole lot of writing about the trip. I posted a lot to my Twitter account, so you can look around and see the many updates there.

I will say Angela was a great host, and the drive home was incredible. We got to see some awesome sights, and we even took a couple of memorable detours. One was to the historic Tombstone, Ariz., site of the infamous shootout at the O.K. corral. We also swung through Roswell, N.M., which is of course the site of many UFO sightings (the International UFO Museum and Research Center is located there). We toured both of these locations, and they were incredible, especially Tombstone. We only got to spend a couple of hours there, but I think I could have spent all day seeing everything the old-west town has to offer.

But that’s enough of me yammering. See, a picture is worth 1,000 words, so I’m simply going to post all of my photos for you to look at. If you want to see the complete album, click here.

Also, here is a map of our journey. We got lost once while I was driving, but it worked out OK.

Now, here’s the photos, in no particular order:
