Vogts arrives back in Ransom

As you probably know by now, I had shoulder surgery on Friday, and after spending a few days in Canton, Kan., at my parents’ home to recuperate, I’m back in Ransom.

I still have some pain, but it is nice to be back in my new home.

I swung by the school before classes let out for the day, and some of my students were pretty stoked to see me, which made me feel good.

Sadly, those warm feelings will be short lived I fear. It seems like I am way behind. I don’t know what I need to do for sure, but I know there is a lot of it to do.

It was nice being home for a while, though. The Easter celebration was great, and spending time with my mother at home was awesome. We watched some movies and just hung out. Also, we attended a couple Canton-Galva High School baseball and softball games. I love watching baseball and softball, so that was fun too.

Even so, it is time to get back to the grind. I still can’t promise how often I will be able to post on this blog. Typing isn’t that difficult, but in order to do it I have to have the computer on my lap, which could prove to be a problem while at work. I’m hoping to post often, though.

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers during my surgery. I’m sure they are the reason I’m feeling as good as I am. I have another doctor’s appointment on Tuesday. I’ll be sure to post about what I find out then.
