New phone arrives

BlackBerry Curve 8530

So, you know how I’ve been debating about getting a new phone to rid myself of the crappy BlackBerry Pearl I carry around?

Well, I did it. And instead of going with a Motorola Droid or BlackBerry Storm 2 as I had considered and even thought I had settled on, I went with something different.

I chose the BlackBerry Curve 8530, and I’m staying with Verizon Wireless. It arrived Wednesday.

I decided to go with the Curve because I really like the BlackBerry operating system, and I’m quite used to it. It will be easy to transfer all the data from my Pearl to my new device, and as soon as I get it activated, I will be ready to roll without any lag time as I get aquainted with the phone.

I’m stoked. However, I’m not using it just yet. I first have to find my dang sync cable to hook my Pearl up to my computer so I can back everything up. Then I will need to sync my Curve with my computer to get all my data onto the new device.

Then, and only then, will I active my new phone.

I’m hoping I find that stupid cord soon. Hopefully this weekend. I can’t wait to start using the Curve. It’s going to be sweet!
