KHP reports 24 accidents Sunday

A quick look at the Kansas Highway Patrol’s Web site and it is clear that Sunday’s icy conditions wrecked havoc on the Sunflower State.

On Sunday alone, the Kansas Highway Patrol worked 24 accidents, which doesn’t count accidents that the KHP didn’t work. Three of those were fatality accidents, and only one was a non-injury accident.

Ellis County had the biggest number of accidents with three. The counties of Ford, Saline, Johnson, McPherson and Ellsworth all had two, and Stafford, Douglas Ottawa, Meade, Gray, Gove, Washington, Barton, Clark and Grant each had one.
