The Update (finally): Rob Curley gives tour of WPNI and The Washington Post

So, I know I promised an update on how the tours at Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive and The Washington Post went. I have been waiting in hopes of getting pictures and stuff ready, but I am a bit slow and very busy.

Instead, I will just post how it went in a very brief form and add the other stuff later.

The tour was amazing. It was fascinating to see the inner workings of one of the best Web sites out there (WPNI) and then get to also see the historic Washington Post.

Of course, the best part was getting to hang with Rob Curley. The man is a genius. The things he can do in the digital world are amazing, and I hope to one day be as good at Web development as he is. It was nice talking to him because he too is from Kansas, so we had a common background and quite a bit to talk about. He also said some very encouraging words . . .

I am now convinced I want to work at The Post, and I hope it is under the guidance of Curley.
