Pumpkin patch trip proves difficult

I was told it would be an easy trip to Walter’s Pumpkin Patch near Burns, Kan. I was lied to.

My friend Stacy and I set out on this venture around 4 p.m. We going out there to write a story about it for the Thursday publication The Sunflower News puts out every week.

We finally found the place at 6:30 p.m., and this was after going the wrong direction for a total of about an hour and traveling nearly 200 miles.

The trip should have only taken about 30 minutes had we not gotten so lost. The trip just didn’t go well.

Things not going well seems to be the theme for me recently.

My business is not going well, my personal life is a huge mess, and The Sunflower News is constantly fighting various battles.

I am just ready for it all to be over with and solutions to be found. I am sick of constantly feeling as though I have zero control over anything, and I hate it that everything I thought I knew is clearly wrong.

When in life will things finally make sense? I just want to know what the hell is going on. That’s all I want. It’s so simple, so why is it so hard to attain?

I just want to be like I was before: Happy, hurtless, and confident about where my life is going.

Yeah, that would be nice to have again. It would be really nice.

I think tonight, I will just ask Mr. Adams for advice. Even if he doesn’t help much, it should be a good time.
